National Research Forests

PRF News

Gates are now closed to vehicles for the season (from Labour Day weekend to Victoria Day weekend).

Walking, cycling, and passive recreation throughout the PRF are welcome, but please respect the forest environment and do not light fires. Please note the rules posted on Kiosk signs on site.

Note that the Corey Lake Bridge remains closed pending repairs.

2023 Fall Deer Hunt

Please note that the gate at the Clouthier Rd / Highway 17 entrance to the PRF will be closed from 12:00pm on Friday, November 3, 2023 until 12:00pm on Monday, November 20, 2023 for the annual grouse and deer hunt. Only registered hunters will be provided access.
